Video and Interview by: Stefan – SF Intercom

Mentioned as one of Julie Schuchard from Tricycle Records favorite bands, I bring you Austin from Butterfly Bones.

Do you have a any horror stories about what bands shouldn’t do?
Don’t try to find any shrimp costumes. Oh and don’t make 1,200 cds on your first go!

Do you have any success stories?
Always keep your friends involved. Make good connections with your fans and friends.

Biggest survival tip?
Don’t force the music writing.

What are some SF bands you’re following?
Music For Animals, White Girl Lost, Record Label: Solid Bump

Tricycle Records

Genre: Experimental / Live Electronics / Glam
Members: Austin Fraser, Joe Gray, Reese Donohue
The boys’ catchy electro tunes are comparable to Cut Copy, Passion Pit, and Starfucker but with a west coast laid back twist of lime mixed in. Their gleeful synth hooks and shimmer smooth melodies remind us northern folk it really is always sunny in California, which just isn’t fair.
Hometown: San Francsisco
Management: Third Culture Records
