More Band Details:

Lila Rose

Genre – indie rock/electronica
Hometown – San Francisco, California

Band Members

Lila Rose (singer, songwriter, producer, guitar), Travis Ames (live production, keys, harp), Daniel Garcia (bass, percussion, guitar), Mitchell Wilcox (drums)

Lila Rose began her ascent to music stardom seven years ago in her native Toronto, Canada. Two singles with producer Pete Prilesnik (Great Big Sea, Ashley MacIsaac, Sarah Harmer) earned Lila some attention, however a small northern California tour in 2008 led Lila to what would become her second home, and the launch point of the next phase of her career. It was there, in her new home base in the San Francisco bay area that Lila released her first EP, Osmos Your Sonica in 2009. In 2012, Lila released her full-length album, Heart Machine, which she co-produced with David Earl (AKA LogicNinja.) The album has received a plentitude of reviews and press from around the world, and continues to expand as this independent artist is quickly garnering more attention.

Jared Swanson from Abbot Kinney

Genre – Rock
Current Location – San Francisco, CA

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Kinney sounds like the collaboration of Thom Yorke and Jeff Buckley. Jessie Payo at NohoArtsDistrict.Com said of his music, “The lyrics are poetic and introspective yet the music can range from dark and somber to an electricity lighting up the stage.” Abbot Kinney released the debut self-titled album mixed by Matt Green (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Muse, TV On The Radio) on iTunes in 2011. The song That’s Not Me received airplay on KEXP Seattle and on MTV’s Real World: Ex-plosion. Members have interchanged among LA, Seattle, and New York session musicians but the primary songwriters and producers have remained the son and father team Jared Swanson (lead singer) and Brad Swanson (drummer). The new unreleased EP has taken an even more euphoric turn. It features Jacob Moses (guitar), Adam Small (bass), William Moore (bass), Clare Reynolds (vocals), and Jacqueline Epcar (vocals). Music released by Abbot Kinney is licensed exclusively by Castle Peak Music.

Robin Bacior

Genre – Waltzy Folk
Current Location – Portland, OR

Band Members

Robin Bacior – Guitar, Piano, Vocals
Dan Bindschedler – Cello

Robin Bacior’s voice speaks of a much older soul. With well-crafted folk vignettes softly painted in waltz timing, her songs reveal honest pictures with instrumentation as a medium to illuminate her lyrics. Born and raised in California, Bacior took great influence from California folk traditions and brought them with her to New York. She began collaborating with cellist Dan Bindschedler and the two began to mend in more textured instrumentation, layering dynamic sounds into simple folk structures. Eventually adding drummer Josh Bess (BESS), the trio played throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn at venues such as Mercury Lounge, Piano’s, The Rock Shop, Union Hall and successful residencies at Pete’s Candy Store and Ace Hotel.
Bacior’s releases have included her debut EP, Aimed For Night (2009), a 7”, Man Before Me b/w Headless Sheep, on her own label, Consonants & Vowels Recordings (2010), along with her debut LP, ‘Rest Our Wings’, the EP ‘I Left You, Still In Love’, and most recently a 7″ for “Shapes and Seasons”. Her songs have received praise from press from larger outlets like Vh1, MTV, NYLON, L Magazine, CBS, along with various blogs and college radio stations throughout the states.
